Questions we actually get asked
Straight answers, with the short version first. If yours is not here, the desk is one message away.
The basics
What is IPTV?
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. It delivers TV over your broadband connection and through an app, rather than through a cable or a satellite dish.
Is IPTV legal?
The technology is. What matters is the rights.
IPTV is only a way of delivering video, and many well-known services use it. Whether a particular service is lawful depends on whether it has the rights to what it streams, and this applies to any provider. You can ask us any questions about our service before you decide. Our terms of use and DMCA policy set out how we handle rights concerns.
How is this different from a streaming app I already pay for?
Streaming apps are mostly on-demand libraries from one company. An IPTV subscription centers on live channels from many sources, usually with on-demand content as well, and you choose the player app. Our comparison page sets out where each one wins.
Is there a contract?
No long contract.
You choose a set period of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. The desk confirms in writing how your plan ends and what renewing involves.
Devices and internet
Which devices work?
Most smart TVs with an app store, Fire TV sticks, Android TV boxes, Apple TV, phones, tablets and computers. The compatible devices page has the details, including which older models can struggle.
How much data does it use?
More than you might expect.
As a rough guide, HD streaming can use 2 to 3 GB an hour and 4K can use 7 GB or more. If your internet plan has a low data cap, work out your usage before you subscribe.
Can I watch on two TVs at once?
It depends on your plan.
Tell us how many screens you want to use at the same time. The desk confirms what your order includes before you pay.
Can I use it while I travel?
Usually, but check first.
Most player apps work wherever you have a decent connection, though availability can vary by location and hotel Wi-Fi can be unreliable. Tell us where you are going and we will say what we can.
Setup and activation
How long does setup take?
Once you have your login details, installing a player app and signing in is usually a short job. The first time can take longer if you are finding your way around a new app, and we are here if you get stuck.
Do I have to install anything?
One app.
You need a player app on each device, from your device's official app store. The desk will tell you which to use, and if there are any fees for it.
I am not technical. Will I manage?
Yeah.
If you can install an app on your phone, you can do this. Our installation guide walks through it, and you can send us a photo of your screen at any stage.
Payment and refunds
How much does it cost?
Plans cost $17 for 1 month, $33 for 3 months, $44 for 6 months and $65 for 12 months.
What payment methods do you accept?
The desk tells you the available options when you order. Read about paying safely before you send money to any online service.
Can I get a refund?
See the written terms.
Our refund policy explains when refunds apply and how to ask. Contact us first if something is not working, since most setup problems can be fixed.
Is there a free trial?
Ask the desk.
Our page on trying it first explains the options. The 1-month plan is also a low-cost way to test it on your own TV and internet.
When something goes wrong
Why does my stream keep buffering?
Usually it is Wi-Fi strength, evening congestion on your internet connection, or an older device. Try another app first. If that struggles too, the cause is your connection. Then try an Ethernet cable if you can. Our support page has the full list of checks.
One channel is down. What now?
Try another channel in the same category and restart the app. If only that channel is affected, tell the desk which one and what you see, and we will look into it.
What if I get a new TV?
Install the player app on the new TV, then sign in with the same details. If you need a hand, message us with the model and we will walk you through it.
Still have a question?
Ask us directly. We will give you a straight answer, even if it is not the one that gets us a sale.
