An honest comparison
IPTV vs cable vs streaming apps
We sell one of these, so read this with that in mind. We have tried to be fair, including about where IPTV is not the best choice.
| Feature | IPTV (Yeah IPTV) | Cable or satellite | Streaming apps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | $17 for 1 month, or $5.42 a month on an annual plan | Usually the most expensive option, often with equipment and regional sports fees | Each service has its own monthly fee, and several can add up |
| Commitment | Fixed period of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months | Often a term contract | Usually monthly, cancel any time |
| Live TV | Yes | Yes | Some services only. Most are on demand |
| Reliability | Depends on your internet and the stream | Generally the most consistent, particularly with a wired connection | Generally very consistent |
| Emergency alerts | Do not rely on it | Yes, on most systems | Do not rely on it |
| Devices | Your own TV, stick, phone or computer | Provider's box in most cases | Almost anything |
| Who helps you | Our desk, on WhatsApp and by email | Provider's call center and technicians | Mostly online help |
| Rights and line-up | Ask any IPTV seller how its content is licensed. Line-ups can change | Licensed packages, published in advance | Licensed libraries, which change over time |

So which one suits you?
Stay with cable if…
You need the most dependable live TV, your internet is weak, or you rely on it for emergency information. A bundled discount might also tip the balance.
Stick with apps if…
You rarely watch anything live, and you are happy with shows on demand. There is no reason to pay for channels you will not use.
Consider IPTV if…
You want live and on-demand in one place, have solid broadband and would rather not sign a long contract. See our plans.
How to compare IPTV sellers
Not all IPTV services are alike, and some are not what they seem. Before you pay any seller, including us:
- Ask whether a specific channel you want is available
- Find the refund terms, in writing
- Ask how the service is licensed
- Send a question, and see how long the reply takes
- Be wary of numbers that nobody could verify
